Future Tense Rules


Future Indefinite:


Affirmative:
SUB+SHALL/WILL+V1+OBJ

Example:
I shall go to Kolkata.
They will eat rice.
He/she will buy a pen.

Note:
This tense will be used when the work will happen in future.

Negative:
SUB+SHALL/WILL+NOT+V1+OBJ

Example:
I shall not go to Kolkata.
They will not eat rice.
He/she will not buy a pen.

Future Continuous:


Affirmative:
SUB+SHALL/WILL+BE+ING+OBJ

Example:
I shall be going to school.
They will be eating rice.
He/she will be playing in the field.

Note:
This tense will be used when the work will be happening in future.

Negative:
SUB+SHALL/WILL+NOT+BE+ING+OBJ

Example:
I shall not be going to school.
They will not be eating rice.
He/she will not be playing in the field.

Future Perfect:


Affirmative:
SUB+SHALL/WILL+HAVE+V3+OBJ

Example:
I shall have completed the job by the evening.

Note:
This tense will be applicable when the work will have been completed in some future point.

Negative:
SUB+SHALL/WILL+NOT+HAVE+V3+OBJ

Example:
I shall not have completed the job by the evening.

Future Perfect Continuous:


Affirmative:
SUB+SHALL/WILL+HAVE+BEEN+ING+OBJ+FOR

Example:
You will have been working in TCS for 5 years.

Note:
This tense will be applicable when the work will have been going on over a period of time.

Negative:
SUB+SHALL/WILL+NOT+HAVE+BEEN+ING+FOR

Example:
You will have not been working in TCS for 5 years.
